Bavarian Lodge

NGA performed geotechnical explorations and evaluation for both the original Phase 1 and then Phase 2 for the iconic Bavarian Lodge located in the heart of Leavenworth.

This project included geotechnical aspects of subsurface conditions which were difficult due to the past use of the property, including previous railroad beds, structures, and past earthwork.

The overall project included a four-story hotel structure that included under-structure at-grade parking. This lodge is now a fixture in the Bavarian scene of the Leavenworth area.

We also provided construction monitoring for the project that included monitoring of the earthwork, subgrade approvals, testing and analysis of structural backfill, as well as foundation placement and approvals as an ongoing process due to the difficult subsurface conditions.

Location: Leavenworth, WA
