Anna Schluneger - Office Manager (Wenatchee, WA)
Born and raised in the sleepy little town of Pateros, I am a central Washington native through and through, and am blessed to call this beautiful valley home. For all my childhood and teen years, I grew up spending every free weekend and summer keeping our small family farm, so being outside and playing in the dirt is like second nature to me. It also developed in me the values of hard work, and a deep appreciation for working the land and caring for God’s creation.
I spent four years at Western Washington University in Bellingham where I cultivated my passion and amazement of our natural world and the arts, graduating with my B.S. in Geology, and a minor in music. During my time there, I got to spend a summer in Worland, Wyoming, assisting with studying and logging ancient soils in the Bighorn Basin; I also got to perform duties as a lab assistant, helping to run experiments to simulate and study delta formations on Mars.
After graduation, I moved back to sunny central Washington, where I joined NGA Wenatchee in 2022 as a Staff Geologist. During my time as a Geologist, I spent lots of time in the field doing geotechnical explorations, construction monitoring for structural fill, foundation subgrades, and retaining wall construction, as well as various lab work, and writing. Now, I’m happily settled into my role as Office Manager for our Wenatchee office. My vast array of day-to-day responsibilities involves communication with clients, data management and organization, and everything in between that helps keep our office operating smoothly and efficiently so our geologists can focus on doing what they do best.
In my downtime, I enjoy playing video games, reading, baking, and spending time with my family.
