NGA was hired by Douglas County PUD to gather subsurface information for the installation of large monopoles for high tension transmission cables.

The job site required a drilling contractor specializing in difficult access drilling (Salisbury & Associates) to complete a 50 foot deep, diamond-core boring above the US Hwy 97 and the Columbia River.

The original, 70 year old power poles were said to have been drug up the hill by a team of mules!
