In the News: February 2011, NGA was recently awarded a 3 year contract with Eastmont School District No. 206, East Wenatchee for geotechnical services.

NGA is a full service geotechnical engineering and material testing firm, located in Wenatchee, Washington. NGA has performed numerous geotechnical studies and evaluations in Central Washington, and specifically in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant Counties. NGA also has experience working with Washington State municipalities, public contracts, and design team submittals. Our principal and senior-level engineers and geologists are committed to their innovative approaches to performing geologic and geotechnical studies, and construction monitoring services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Geologic Hazard Studies

If a site is located within the Geologically Hazardous Overlay District (GHOD), the county will require a geologic hazard assessment prior to development. Our services include review of geologic and soil maps of the site vicinity, and assess the site for potential geologic hazards, including landslide, seismic, erosion and flood hazards. We then document our findings, observations, conclusions, and recommendations in a written geologic hazard assessment letter.

NGA has the capability to perform in-house design, analysis, drafting, and consultation for the geotechnical scope of projects. NGA has a fully-equipped soil laboratory in our Wenatchee office, where analyses of soil characteristics, composition, consolidation, and shear strength properties are evaluated. We have field nuclear densometers and certification of our personnel to perform earthwork construction monitoring.
